Web Developer

As the Web Developer, you will assist with the design and maintenance of feature-rich B2B Sales and Marketing support software for both Microsoft Windows and the Worldwide Web Project requirements span the entire spectrum of current technology trends, including automated email systems, online reporting, data capture, promotional website design and CRM. This position would employ and enhance skills such as project implementation, writing code in a variety of programming languages, business process and technical design, database interactivity and software architecture. Both ad-hoc development and object-oriented development techniques are employed as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Create independent or team-based projects, designs, codes and tests technical solutions
  • Understand technical and functional design requirements
  • Easily recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Webpage design and development including graphics manipulation
  • User interface design and development
  • Write effective stored procedures
  • Identify appropriate use of COM objects
  • Create, estimate and execute work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Manage resources within budget and project schedule; assist with the enforcement of development deadlines and schedules
  • Communicate and enforce coding standards and to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions to the client
  • Anticipate client needs before they arise and presents solutions that encompass issues at hand
  • Understand expectations that were set with client and recognizes/communicates when issues or events may affect delivery
  • Understand client server and Internet systems architectures

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have at least 3+ years of web development experience in Microsoft environment and have experience and sound knowledge of Microsoft IIS and website operations and maintenance. Strong background in application troubleshooting, documentation and code analysis, as well as a proven ability to develop productive working relationships required. Ability to understand advanced relational database concepts and assist with physical and logical database design essential. Working knowledge of SQL2000/2005 is a must! The successful individual will demonstrate sound knowledge of object component methodology and technology and possess familiarly with the following programming languages:

  • ASP, HTML and JavaScript
  • CSS and AJAX preferred
  • VB6, VB.NET and Reporting Services plus
